Adoption Policy Change

Due to some of our Adopters not responding to our requests to perform home checks and not following the spay/neuter agreement they signed when adopting puppies who were too young for surgery, Rebel Rescue is changing their adoption policy effective immediately. Rebel Rescue now requires a refundable deposit to hold the dog you wish to adopt and all adopters must pass a home check before they are required to pay the balance of the adoption and get to bring their new furbaby home. This is for the dog’s protection and we hope our loving and responsible adopters will embrace this need and help us protect our dogs. As always, we appreciate our community for your support and dedication to helping us save the most misunderstood breed of dog, the bully breeds. Our Rebels are THE BEST! To help is to heal!!

Rebel Rescue, a 501c3 non-profit, was created in 2015 by Sole Member and Founder, Christy Bear; and with Co-Founders, Brian Glover, Jeralynn Glover, and Raden Glover. The Rebel Mission is to specialize in rescuing bully breeds from the coastal bend region. The original rescue started from a small no-kill shelter facility located at the Sole Member and Founder's home in Victoria, Texas. By 2016, the rescue evolved to a shelter and foster based rescue. We are still going strong and averaging about 150 adoptions each year. Your support and love of bully breed animals is greatly appreciated!
